This Bookish Endeavor

3 starsGenuinely creepy moments, bogged down by a slow moving storyline and annoying plot elements (5 people living in the same house...all experiencing supernatural things...and none of them decide to mention it to each other?!). Koontz has developed a bit of Stephen King-itis....the need to over-describe simple things until the reader is left skimming page after page of ultimately unimportant filler. I loved the prequel novella (Darkness Under the Sun) and while there were things I enjoyed about this book, I was a little disappointed.
