This Bookish Endeavor

5+ StarsWhile I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in the Wallflowers series, Secrets Of A Summer Night, this book is far superior in my eyes.The pairing of Lillian Bowman & Lord Westcliffe was pure genius. Two people so incredibly stubborn and set in their own ways of thinking, it had disaster written all over it. And probably because of that, these two people were simply made for each other. While I have tended to find Lillian a bit obnoxious and over-bearing in the other Wallflowers novels, in this book she shines as she matches wits with the all-too proper Lord of Stony Cross Manor. And Lord Westcliffe is simply put, a perfect hero. Strong, loyal, and ridiculously romantic despite his best efforts to the contrary. Remaining aloof on the surface, not allowing himself to become close to anyone for fear of them being taken away. Marcus is a much more fleshed out character than I originally anticipated him to be, and he's definitely one of my favorite heroes that LK has created.It Happened One Autumn is yet another addition by Lisa Kleypas to my Keepers shelf.I
