This Bookish Endeavor

I fell in love with the tortured character of Christian in the first book of the series A Girl's Guide To Vampires, and was really excited to read his full story. Unfortunately, where the previous book succeeds on almost all levels, this book fell more than a little flat. To me, most of the charm and wit of the first book was absent here. There was also less steamy romance, and fewer lovable characters, including the female lead, Allegra. I found myself spending most of my time being annoyed either by Allie's whining, or the over-the-top side story involving the ghosts.I'm still a huge Katie Mac fan. But, i was hoping for more.
